Imaginary World

Artist Reflection

The strongest technical aspect of my work of my work is the bridge, I used the magic wand tool extensively to select in-between the bridge support to replace the sky. The technical aspect of my work that could be improved on is figuring out how I could replace the sky but still keep the cable lines in the bridge which I ended up removing most of them because I couldn't paint or select around them.

The easy part about this project was finding images that worked together to create a scene with a foreground, middle ground and back ground. The difficult part of this activity was replacing certain parts of the image with the sky for example because it was nearly impossible to select some things.

I demonstrated the objective of this project by creating a imaginary world creating a foreground, middle ground and background. If I could do this activity again I might use a different bridge because in my opinion the bridge seems to unrealistic and I don't mind creating a unrealistic world even though its not my thing but I still like to keep it as realistic as possible yet still have that aspect of it not being real.

  1. Nick, Amazing attention to detail with your bridge work. You are a very patient and meticulous person. I like how the bridge is a darker value of blue than the sky and shadow in the far lighthouse. I think a hint of that blue reflecting in the water near the horizon line would gel the foreground and background together a little better. When you get a chance try a layer mask on the background and lower the opacity.
