Postage Stamp
Artist Reflection
The easy part of this art activity was coming up with a place that I wanted to focus on since I already knew I wanted to use all my own photos it limited my choices and then I knew Cape Cod would be the perfect place since I had plenty of pictures of lighthouses and also had the picture of the crab which I absolutely love. The difficult part of this art activity was creating the text postage stamp which is the map one. I used a map which already had all the towns names on it but I erased all the names on it and used the text tool to create new text and also erased parts of the map to make it more simple.
I demonstrated the objective of this art activity by creating a text postage stamp, simple postage stamp, and a repetition postage stamp. If I were to do this activity again I may focus on all of New England since Cape Cod is such a small place, I think it would be cool creating stamps that represent a greater area.

Painting
Artist Reflection
The strongest technical aspect of my work is the shading of the penguins body and sunglasses along with the shedding of the paint on the palate. The technical sect of my work that could be improved on is the background, it almost to simplistic and i would maybe like to paint a larger iceberg or something else in background so it looks like the penguin may be standing on a piece that has broken off.
The easy part of this art activity was creating the painting of the initial layer while the hardest part of this art activity was trying the blend all the different shades and make it appear as if the the penguin has depth and shadows from a light source.
I demonstrated the objective of this art activity by creating a painting with multiple layers and also using different paintbrushes and smudge/ blur tools to create a desired effect. If I could of this art activity I may think a background first and try to make the whole thing work together. Maybe the penguin could have an easily or something that he's painting on and I could paint a small picture onto that.

Popart
Artist Reflection
The strongest technical aspect of my the Andy Warhol pop art image of the butterfly is is creating a threshold layer making the whole image black and white and then painting the color back in creating a poppet image. The technical aspect of my work that could be improved on is the painting, I would like to maybe try shading in certain areas to add depth to the image maybe.
The easy part of this art activity was creating a threshold layer to make the image all black and white. The difficult part was choosing what colors to use and then painting in certain parts was a tedious process.
I demonstrated the objective of this art activity by creating a threshold layer and then painting the color back in to create a pop art image. If I were to do this art activity again I would try to use shades of colors to create for depth within the image and maybe to using more threshold layers.

Morphed Animal
Artist Reflection
The strongest technical aspect of my work is the blending of an orca whale and a seabird to make it appear as if it one animal alone by using the stamp tool to blend textures from one animal to another. The technical aspect of my work that could be improved on is the addition of the shadow which I tried doing to make it appear more realistic but i wasn't sure which way to warp it to make it appear as if the sun was shinning on the animal creating a shadow in the background. The easy part of this activity was creating layer mask to erase parts of each animal to blend parts of each together. The difficult part of this activity was using the stamp tool to use textures from one animal to another because when I kept using it I would get unrealistic effects but I eventually figured it out and got it to work.
I demonstrated the objective my creating a morphed animal inside photoshop using layers and layer masks while also using the stamp tool to blend textures from one animal part to another. If I were to do this activity again differently I would try two different animals that may work together better and try to think about a background first maybe before selecting which animals I would like to use.

Symmetry
Artist reflection
The strongest technical aspect of my work is all the effects on each group creating interesting effects that I wouldn't get otherwise. The technical aspect of my work that could be improved on is changing the opacity of different shapes as groups as a whole, I did use opacity changes but I'd like to experiment with them in a different way by starting off in the mindset thats what i'm going to change first rather then be one of the last things.
The easy part of this art activity was creating and creating the layers and creating group for the multiple layers and I also created groups inside of groups. The difficult part of this art activity was working with different effects to create interesting effects on groups as a whole so it affected each layer within that group.
I demonstrated the objective of this art activity by creating a 10x10 300dpi square and using the elliptical marque tool and rectangular marquee tool along with with the paint bucket to add color to each shape keeping everything symmetrical while also creating groups for multiple layers. I also achieved the objective by caging the opacity of multiple layers by changing the opacity on the group which then affected every layer wishing that group. If I was able to do this art activity again I would try starting at the middle of the square and work my way outward and see what the outcome would be.

Poloroid
Artist Reflection
The strongest technical aspect of my work is the polaroids working together to sound the ballet danvers but also appear as if they were scattered on a table. The technical aspect of my work that could improved on is the polaroids seeming as if they were more scattered on a table and also working on a background.
The easy part of this art activity bas finding an image since I recently took this photo that I used so I already knew pretty much which one I wanted to use but another easy part of this art activity was creating a background. The difficult part was the stacking of the polaroids and erasing parts of each as I went along to make sure they appear that they are on top of or below other polaroids. Another challenging part was the background since a couple times when I went to add an image to the background half my project would disappear and required me to practically restart and only keep the polaroids.
I demonstrated the objective of this art activity by creating a photo that makes it look like a bunch ion polaroids were thrown onto a table and all worked together to create an image. I also made it appear as if there was something sticking out of the polaroids and also changed the background creating symbols which represent the original image. If I would do this art activity again I would choose a different image and maybe choose a 3-d table for the background in a room so they would be in perspective with the table as if they were actually resting on it and actually appear as if they were thrown on the table.
